Vessels brings together rare, historic, and found woods. Presented as vessels, the works function as a xylotheque: each piece preserves a unique story of time, geography, and transformation.The woods in the series have passed through different states of existence before arriving in the exhibition space. Some originate from historic structures, while others carry biological, cultural, and material histories that extend beyond their role as raw material.
